TRTC 2024 Tri Point Pursuit

Welcome to the inaugural Tri Point Pursuit Challenge, an exciting endeavor hosted by Team Rocket Triathlon Club! This season-long challenge invites active TRTC members to embrace the thrill of triathlon through a multifaceted pursuit. Participants will earn points by racing, volunteering, and engaging in training events. From podium finishes to dedicated volunteerism and focused training, every endeavor contributes to the exhilarating journey of the Tri Point Pursuit. Official Rules and Regulations

Race Participation Points:

• Overall Podium:
  • 1st Place: 15 points
  • 2nd Place: 13 points
  • 3rd Place: 11 points
• Age Group (AG) Podium:
  • 1st Place: 9 points
  • 2nd Place: 7 points
  • 3rd Place: 5 points
• Athena/Clydesdale Podium:
  • 1st Place: 11 points
  • 2nd Place: 9 points
  • 3rd Place: 7 points
• Masters Podium:
  • 1st Place: 13 points
  • 2nd Place: 11 points
  • 3rd Place: 9 points
• Finish a Race:
  • 1 point per leg (in addition to AG/OA points)

Volunteering Points:

• Race Director (RD): 20 points
• Committee Head: 12 points
• Registered Volunteer: 5 points per shift

Training Events Points:

• Open Water Swim: 3 points
• Thursday Night Bike (TNB): 1 point

Ties:

• In the event of a tie between participants, the winner will be determined in the following order:
  • The participant with more volunteer-based points.
  • The participant with a greater accumulation of race participation points.
  • The participant with a higher count of training event points.
  • A coin flip will be conducted to determine the final winner.

Additional Rules:

• The TRTC Exec Board retains the sole discretion to modify, amend, or revoke points allocated in the challenge at any given time, with or without prior notice. Such modifications or revocations may be applied retroactively.
• Participation in the challenge is exclusively open to active members of the Team Rocket Triathlon Club (TRTC).
• The TRTC Exec Board reserves the right to award additional points based on outstanding contributions or exemplary actions at its discretion.
• Disqualification may occur for participants found in violation of TRTC’s code of conduct or engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct. This may result in point deduction, suspension, or disqualification from the challenge at the discretion of the TRTC Exec Board.
• Participants must provide valid proof of their race finishes, volunteer activities, and training event attendance upon request by the TRTC Exec Board for point validation.
• The challenge period will begin at the Kickoff Party, and will end at the conclusion of Racing the Station 2024, and points earned outside this period will not be counted toward the challenge.
• Any disputes regarding points or their allocation must be submitted in writing to the TRTC Exec Board no less than 1 week prior to the End of Year Party. The decision of the Board regarding point disputes will be final.
• The TRTC Exec Board reserves the right to modify the structure, duration, or rules of the challenge as necessary. Any changes will be communicated to all participants in a timely manner.

Participants are encouraged to review and understand these rules thoroughly before engaging in the challenge. Failure to comply with these rules may result in point deductions or disqualification from the challenge.

Given that this is the inaugural year of the challenge, participants are requested to understand and accommodate any potential adjustments or refinements to the rules or point systems. The TRTC Exec Board aims to ensure fairness and improve the challenge experience, and your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated.
